A tender, breathtaking pas de deux for a male dancer and mechanical digger.
Compagnie Beau Geste was founded in 1981 by seven dancers,
with each member working alternately as choreographer or performer.
“By creating this duo, I wanted to relive those childhood moments
where proportions take on another dimension, and where the street
becomes a playground [...] The excavator suggests an image of a human arm - taking, repulsing and cajoling […] The bucket, whose function is to scratch, carry and discharge, becomes, by poetic licence, a hand which removes, raises and protects.”
Choreographer Dominique Boivin
Assistant to the choreographer Christine Erb?
Dancer Philippe Priasso
Driver Eric Lamy
Music Camille Saint-Sa?ns - Samson et Dalila (Maria Callas);
Vicenzo Bellini – Norma (La Banda); Jules Massenet – Le Cid (Maria Callas)
